If so, surely you are no stranger to the name Samaun Samadikun. Yup, the male figure sketched by Google is an engineer and scientist from Indonesia. As seen in today's picture, behind him is  a transformer  and the cables are wrapped around it. And if you pay attention, the cable forms the words "Google.

Not many people know about this man who was born in Magetan on April 15, 1931. Even though he used to get the title of Father of Indonesian Microelectronics. How could he not, his persistence and intelligence made him an Engineer graduated from ITB. Not only that, he is also the founder of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences.

During his life, Prof. Samaun received many types of awards such Indonesia Mobile Number List as Class I Satya Kemerdekaan Karya Satya Class I, 1979 Science Prize, 1983 Satya Televisistha Dwidyasistha from the Minister of Defense/Army Commander at that time, and Meritorious Service Award, ASEAN COST 1999.

Apart from that, he also wrote many national and international scientific publications in the fields of tunnel diodes , nuclear instrumentation, IC fabrication, energy, electronics industry, and education, as well as being an editor of Microelectronics books.



Prof Dr Samaun Samadikun died in Jakarta on 15 November 2006 at the age of 75 years. Social media owned by Mark Zuckerberg is a platform that you must have on your smartphone.
